How easy is it to install the Soho?
The Soho is very easy to install. In most cases, all you need to do is unplug either your phone or the handset on your phone, then simply plug in the PhoneLink™. Then plug the other end of the PhoneLink™ into your computer or tape recorder. If connecting to your computer, you will have to install the included software. You are now ready to record your calls.

Do I need any tools?
No, you do not need any tools to install the Soho. It is a simple plug and play operation, which takes a few minutes.

Does it record both sides of a phone conversation?
Yes, all our recorders will record both sides of a phone call.

Why are there different models of the Soho?
We have a few models of the Soho to cater for different phones and recording requirements. Basically, the type of phone you have will determine which Soho is suitable. Call us and we can determine which Soho is best for you.

Can I move the Soho around between phones?
The Soho is a totally portable solution. Since it is a simple plug and play connection, you can quickly and easily move the Soho between phones. Any phone you wish to record, must, of course, be compatible with the Soho model you have purchased.

Will the Soho work with my phone?
The Soho will work with nearly any phone. It will work with most analogue phones, home phones, cordless phones, digital phones etc. Please contact us to confirm your phone is compatible and the best method of connection.

What is the difference between the Soho and the PhoneLink™?
The Soho is our recording package comprising the PhoneLink™ interface and our recording software. It allows you to record your phone calls straight to your computer. The calls are saved to your hard disk and you can then play, copy or email the calls using your favourite applications.
If you only want to record calls to a tape recorder or similar device, then all you need is the PhoneLink interface™. The PhoneLink™ is available separately.

How many hours of calls can the Soho Portable record?
The are a few models of the Soho Portable available. Depending on your phone usage and the model and recording quality you choose, you can save weeks or perhaps months of calls. For example, the base model Soho Portable can record up to 130 hours of calls. If you reach capacity, you can always transfer calls to your computer using the supplied USB cable.
